As Dispatch will be a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere ecosystem, playing the game on PCs, consoles, and compatible handhelds—including saving data and achievements—will only require one purchase. PlayEveryWare, which previously helped transfer Dispatch to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, is co-developing the Xbox version of the game. This includes work on Unreal Engine tweaks and system-specific performance optimizations. Dispatch’s Xbox port will be released sometime before to the game’s first anniversary because summer lasts from late June to mid-September.

Dispatch On Xbox Has One Big Question To Answer

Dispatch’s Xbox port will have one unanswered question regarding the game’s censorship history before it launches. Certain cutscenes and promotional artwork from the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions of Dispatch were censored; neither Nintendo nor AdHoc Studio disclosed this information until after the ports had been made available. AdHoc Studio stated it would cooperate with Nintendo to resolve the censoring issue while adhering to Nintendo’s shop regulations after receiving a barrage of criticism from fans for not being transparent about its decisions. It is unclear whether or not the Xbox version of Dispatch will be censored, since the PC and PS5 versions of the game keep all of its content unaltered.
